Alison Campbell

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic loss of Alison Campbell, The Smithy, Glengolly, Thurso as the result of a road traffic accident on 22nd July 2025. Beloved wife of John, loving mum to Scott, a dear sister to Valerie, sister in law, aunt, great aunt and cherished friend to many. Alison was the eldest daughter of the late Bill and Molly Sinclair, Thurso.

In Caithness General Hospital on 18th August 2025, David Alexander, aged 86 years of Buldoo, Houstry, Dunbeath.  Beloved husband of Bella, much loved dad of Grace and Sandra, a dear father-in-law and a loving grandad to Eilidh, Fiona, John, Duncan and Mary.  A dear brother, uncle and friend to many.

Derek Anderson

It is with great sadness, we as a family announce the passing of Derek Anderson, (electrician), aged 83 years of Caberfeidh, Brough.Derek passed peacefully in his home with his family by his side, after a short illness.  He was a devoted husband to Jean. A much loved Dad to Colin and Graham and an adored father-in-law, grandad and great grandad who will be sadly missed.

A service to celebrate Dereks life will be held in Ormlie Lodge Service Rooms, Thurso on Tuesday 26th August, commencing at 11am, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please.  Donations if desired may be given at the service in aid of the Scottish Ambulance Service Wick and Thurso Branches and Thurso Lifeboat. Thereafter we will hold a private cremation at his own request.
