It is with great sadness we announce the very sudden passing of George Coghill

Dunnett on Friday 21st May 2021 aged 67 years. Loving partner of Fiona.

Devoted husband to the late Alison.  Dearly loved dad to George and

Sinclair. Father-in-law to Julie and Veronica. Much loved grandad to Kieran, Declan, Hannah, Jessica, and Findlay. Cherished brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to so many. He will be very sadly missed.

Suddenly but peacefully on 13th January 2022, Betty, of 12 Campbell Avenue. Beloved wife of Rick, much loved mum of Kelvin, a dear mother-in-law of Olga and a devoted granny Beattie to Gabi.  Following a private service the family invite anyone wishing to pay their respects to join them in Berriedale cemetery on Friday 21st January at 12.45 p.m.  Family flowers only please but donations if desired may be given in aid of British Heart Foundation.

Aileen Sutherland

Peacefully in Raigmore Hospital on Monday 31st January 2022, after a long illness bravely borne, Aileen (Neen), aged 56 years, of 27 Swordale Crescent, Bonar Bridge. Daughter of the late Angus and Clare, Portskerra. Much loved mam of Nicola and Kyle. A loving sister of Diane, John and Sandra. A dear aunt and friend to many.

A service to celebrate Aileen’s life will be held in Creich Parish Church at 11am on Wednesday 9th February and will proceed to Strathy cemetery for the committal service at 1.40pm. Donations if desired may be given in aid of the Highland Hospice and British Lung Foundation.

James Sutherland

On Feb 1, 2022, James Horne Sutherland aged 77 passed away peacefully in Caithness General Hospital after a brave fight with cancer.  Jim a devoted Dad to Calum and Lucinda and for 50 years a loving and caring Husband to Ann, nee Mackay.  Due to covid restrictions a private family service will be held within Reay Church.  The family invite extended family, neighbours and friends wishing to pay their respects to join them in Reay cemetery on Thursday 10th February @ 1.30 p.m.  Family flowers only please but donations if desired may be given in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Peacefully in Raigmore Hospital on 7th February 2022, Catherine nee Henderson. Loving wife of Richard, a much loved mum, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many.  Funeral was private at her own request.

Passed Peacefully in Dunbar Hospital on 5th Saturday 2022, William Newlands (Tommy) formerly of Shebster Court, Ormlie, Thurso. Much loved dad of Thomas Newlands (deceased) and Charlie Newlands, Husband of Christine Newlands (deceased), and was a devoted grandad. Much thanks to his family: Charlie, Doreen, Johnny, Mary, Wilma, Jackie, Morag, Phil and everyone else who showed him love and compassion in his final days. The family invite anyone wishing to pay their respects to join them at a graveside service in Thurso Cemetery on Tuesday 22nd February at 11 a.m.
